1. Who we are and what this site is

pena-palace.pt is an online publication providing information about the Pena National Palace and the monuments of Sintra. Contact: info@pena-palace.pt.

This is not the official website of the Pena National Palace. It is not operated, authorised, sponsored by or in any way associated with Parques de Sintra – Monte da Lua, S.A., the body that manages the monument, whose official site is parquesdesintra.pt. All third-party trade marks, names and logos mentioned belong to their respective owners and are used solely for informational and descriptive purposes.

2. We do not sell tickets

This site is not a travel agent, a tour operator or a box office. We do not issue, sell, change, cancel or refund tickets or bookings.

Where we link to a ticket purchase, you leave this site and complete the transaction on a third party’s website, subject to that third party’s terms and privacy policy. The purchase contract is formed exclusively between you and that operator. Any question relating to payment, issuance, amendment, cancellation or refund must be directed to that operator.

3. Affiliate links

This site contains affiliate links. If you make a purchase after clicking one, we may receive a commission from the operator, at no additional cost to you.

All commercial links carry the attributes rel="nofollow sponsored" and open in a new tab. Commission does not determine editorial content: we regularly recommend options that generate no revenue for us, including buying directly from the official box office.

4. Accuracy of information

Prices, opening hours, entry rules and other practical information are reproduced from official sources and partner catalogues as at the date shown in the footer of each page. That data can change without notice, including between the moment you read this site and the date of your visit.

Before travelling, always confirm hours, prices and access conditions with parquesdesintra.pt and with the operator that issued your ticket. Itinerary suggestions, walking times and quiet-hour estimates are editorial judgement, not guarantees.

5. Limitation of liability

Content is provided as is, without express or implied warranties of accuracy, currency or fitness for a particular purpose.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we accept no liability for loss arising from: admission refused due to late arrival or failure to meet a booked time slot; changes to prices, opening hours or access conditions; full or partial closures of monuments; transport failures; or the acts and omissions of third parties, including resellers and tour operators.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including consumer rights under Portuguese and European Union law.

6. Intellectual property

The original text, structure, design and site-specific graphic elements are protected by copyright. Reproduction in full without permission is not permitted; partial quotation with attribution and a link to the source page is welcome.

Photographs are drawn from openly licensed repositories, principally Wikimedia Commons, and are presented with author and licence shown beside each image. Rights belong to the respective authors and reuse is subject to the licence stated in each case.

7. Acceptable use

Bulk automated extraction of content, attempts to compromise the security of the site, and reproduction of content in a way that implies an official relationship with Parques de Sintra or any ticket operator are all prohibited.

8. Changes and governing law

These terms may be updated at any time; the version in force is the one published on this page, bearing the date at the top. Portuguese law applies and the Portuguese courts have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules.
